Privacy policy

Designing a tailor-made safari means knowing a little about you and your travel companions. This page explains what information we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
When you request a quote
- First name, last name, email and phone number.
- Your plans: number of travellers, type of trip, dates or length, budget, destinations, interests and your message.
When you book
- For each traveller: name as shown on the passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number and expiry date (required for park permits, domestic flights and lodges).
- Information you choose to share for your stay: dietary needs, allergies, mobility or health needs, emergency contact, travel insurance details.
- Payment information needed for invoicing (we never store card numbers).
Health information is sensitive data: we only collect it with your explicit consent, and only so that your trip goes safely.
When you visit the website
Like any website, our host records technical data (IP address, browser, page requested) to run and protect the site. The website sets no cookies and uses no advertising trackers.

Your data is never sold and never used for marketing without your consent.
Who has access
- The Wild Agency, which prepares your trip on its own.
- The providers of your trip, only for what concerns them: lodges and camps, guides and local partners, domestic airlines, park authorities for permits (gorillas, chimpanzees).
- Our technical tools: FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards the quote form by email; Google (Gmail), where our correspondence is kept; Cloudflare, which hosts the website; Google Fonts, which serves the website's typefaces and therefore receives visitors' IP addresses.
- Public authorities, where required by law.
Transfers outside the European Union
Your trip takes place in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda or Rwanda: the information needed for your booking is passed to providers in those countries because this is necessary to perform your contract (article 49 GDPR).
Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States; both companies participate in the Data Privacy Framework recognised by the European Commission. FormSubmit is a service established outside the European Union.
How long we keep it
- Quote request not followed by a booking: 3 years after our last exchange.
- Travel file: during the trip, then 5 years (limitation period), except accounting records, kept for 10 years.
- Passport copies and health information: deleted no later than 3 months after your return.
- Host technical data: a few days, according to Cloudflare's policy.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, to restrict its processing, object to its use or withdraw your consent. You may also give instructions about what happens to it after your death.
Simply write to thewildagencysafari@gmail.com: we reply within one month at most. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with the authority of your own country.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS only. Correspondence and files are kept in protected accounts, accessible only to the person preparing your trip.
Minors
Quote requests are made by an adult. Information about children travelling is provided by their parents or legal guardians and used only to organise the trip.
Changes
This policy may change; the date of the latest update appears at the top of the page. This page is a translation provided for convenience; in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
